Flanno has been absent for 12 months. There is a heap of training sessions and half a dozen trial games before the season starts. So we don't know what Flanno is thinking. I'm sure the Coach and his staff around him will select a team that will be the best they can come up with. In any event, anything you and I say will make not one bit of difference in the selection process.

Ridiculous, according to this forum, Flanno will always pick the oldest and most inappropriate option regardless of form, ability or training performance...

My doctor apologised as he examined me internally. "I'm sorry" he said.

I am bewildered by all the D Fifita hype. Why should he be in the starting 13? At all stages of his professional career he has been behind Andrew. Often a benchie in the 20s. I have never seen him have a half decent game. As for putting in a strong off season. Why didn't he do that last year? He looks more out of shape than ever. Not as good a benchie as Tim Robinson , who it seems has been let go. Anyone know?

He was rescued from a low grade French club who are not even NSW Group standard. One of the luckiest blokes to get a contract I've seen. We released Massima,Sopoanga,Sorensen and possibly Robinson who are all better. The only thing he has going for him is size. Ask anyone who ever attends NSW Cup if he ever breaks the line.

Remember that Gagan has been in Flannagans plans for a while now... Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a run during the trials and into the team in the first three rounds.

Selection of D.Fafita is only on the basis of him getting fit & his attitude right. If he does he could have a break out year like A.Fafita two years ago

Agree with Robinson but our main issue at the moment is lack of Front Rowers - we need size up the middle. Our Back Rower depth is excellent. We have speed in the backs. We just need to fix the middle. We are left with Houma, Tags, Prior....
Tags can be great - but too often goes missing
Prior drops the ball every second take up
Houma is big but from what I have heard is lazy

Any other options?

D.Fifita is horrible. Just horrible.

I was a big fan of Robinson in NSW cup and when he was called up into firsts I was pretty happy for the bloke and thought he deserved it. One thing that let him down though was his leg speed was so slow he looked like he was running in knee deep mud all the time. Even Vave's leg speed and drive seemed twice as fast and I thought Vave was pooh.

Gal already plays 80 minutes, touches the ball up to 3 times a set in attack and makes god knows how many tackles in defence every set.
Moving him to prop would actually lessen the load and get him out of the way of our attack.

I doubt that would have happened during the recruitment process. If he wants to play centre, he will find himself with a very good chance of taking Leutele's spot.

Don't think we have to worry about SKD. He wants a pay rise to come over. We offered him the same amount of money and a pay rise next year, but for the same price he will stay at the Roosters.
Trouble for him is, that he will be on the wing, and if he has an average year, he won't get the type of money we offered him for the future.
