It's time, lads!

After a bloody long off-season punctuated by overseas junkets and dramatic absences, it's time to get the ball rolling on the fourth incarnation of the FFBRL.

Can Ponte Preta back up last season's miraculous premiership? Will the traditional powerhouses feel the pinch of the new salary cap?

Before we can answer those questions, the all-important draft must take place. With some hot talent available, which teams will gamble on young talent and which will aim to square up their side with high profile recruits?

The draft commences at 12pm AEDST this Friday. Picks are on a twelve hour clock.


Those with first picks can start now if they so desire, but the 12 hour clock will not commence until noon on Friday.

If you feel you cannot get your picks in on time, you can send a prioritised list with as many conditional statements as you need to myself (Misanthrope), Goldthorpe, and Drew-Sta. This ought to cover your bases.

If they're retired IRL or playing another code, they're ineligible for the draft.

Additionally, players not in the database who are playing league (anywhere in the world) can be drafted. They'll be rated individually after the draft.

Upon further review, I think we probably need to be careful, no manipulation of picking players just to swap out later...

...I would have a blackout period of a couple of rounds, at least...

...but, I will chance asking about a small increase in the salary cap - perhaps up to $11 million? (I can live with it as it is now, but a bit more cash won't hurt, imo...)
