Nice to see the same tired posters putting the dragons at the bottom of the table. I think the top 3 and bottom 3 are a fair guess but the other positions are really tight.

McGregor is useless and the Drags have recruited like shit. Your only marquee signing is a good chance of being deported. It's perfectly fair to put the Dragons low. And I shall.

1. Broncos
2. Cowboys
3. Roosters
4. Warriors
5. Sharks
6. Storm
7. Rabbitohs
8. Bulldogs

9. Canberra
10. Manly
11. Penrith
12. Parra
13. Dragons
14. Titans
15. Knights
16. Tigers

We were written off and predicted to finish 15th/16th in 2015 and finished 8th. And this year we are predicted roughly 13th/14th so I reckon around 6th/7th would be a fair guess as despite opinions, our pack has improved and depth across the park is greatly improved. We actually have players jostling for position next season.

1. Cowboys- Had a great season and haven't been bitten by the salary cap. Virtually the same team as 2015
2. Roosters- Will miss RTS but not much else has changed in their roster
3. Broncos- How much did the GF loss take out of them? Roster largely unchanged with the master coach at the helm.
4. Storm- At some stage they will falter but the big 3 keep producing.
5. Sharks- Look good on paper. Will be interesting to see how their halves gel and whether they have the right balance and depth in the backline. Pack, as was 2015, pretty good.
6. Dragons- despite some opinions, depth greatly improved and squad much more balanced. If Mary can get the best out of the attack as he did in 2015 with the defence, we won't go backwards.
7. Souths- Depth the biggest issue and could be short a few 1st graders. Will miss Luke as well.
8. Bulldogs- Will be interesting to see how the interchange affects the big boys. Halves also a worry for them IMO
9. Manly- They have a pretty solid 17. Depth in their squad could be issue and as yet, still do not have a 5/8 unless they are looking to put Api there and have an untested hooker in Parcell.
10. Penrith- Had a horror run with injuries. Have a pretty good pack and some really good players across the park. Be interesting to see how Hook goes in his 2nd stint as a 1st grade coach.
11 to 15- in no particular order Eels, Knights, Titans, Raiders- I don't see any major improvements in any of these squads from 2015 so hard to see them having major moves up the ladder.
16. Tigers- What can you say? Someone has to come last and IMO are lacking depth, experience and are suffering some massive internal issues.

Looking through most predictions 90% of posters have virtually the same table as 2015. I know there wasn't much change from14-15, however I'll be surprised if that stays the same this year. Statiscly there's usually a 50% turn over in the top 8 from year to year. This year was an abnormality. With a large number of top players changing clubs I expect it to go back to that.

The same old mongs predicting another poor season for Saints isn't all that surprising. We were smashed by injuries late last year and could have finished top 6 with a side that's inferior to who we run out in 2016. Expecting much more in attack next season and if our strong defence holds up, will be contending.

Expect Cowboys to be hard to stop yet again and the Warriors have to be top 4..suuurely. Manly will be back amongst it again too.

Manly fans:

'No one likes us and we don't care!'

Dragons fan:

'I don't think Manly will make the 8'

Manly fan:

:cry::cry:

Might want to re-read my post champ.

Where did I mention he had Manly below the Tigers? I don't care if he had Manly number 1 in his table. My point was that there are not 4 teams going to finish below the Tigers in 2017.

Oh - And before you point out that I had the Tigers 10th in my predictions, that was before you lost Taupau and I thought this Farah issue would be resolved but is going to derail their entire season it seems.

To be fair, most people had the dragons missing the 8 in 2012-14 as well and all those years dragons fans told everyone they were mongs and didn't know what they were talking about.

2016 ladder after round 26
1. Roosters
2. Warriors
3. Cowboys
4. Brisbane
5. Melbourne
6. Dragons
7. Canberra
8. Canterbury
9. Souths
10. Cronulla
11. Penrith
12. Tigers
13. Newcastle
14. Parramatta
15. Manly
16. Gold Coast

Melbourne 5th, Dragons 6th, Raiders 7th, Souths 9th and Manly 15th.

Wow I'm shocked.

Souths and Manly will both make the 8.

I expect St George, Canberra and Melbourne to miss out.

Mine is:

1. Broncos (Under Bennett they will do it again but can they win the comp???)
2. Cowboys (very very good team and are fast)
3. Warriors (RTS and Issac are huge signings)
4. Roosters (have a quality roster. RTS will leave a hole. They should just sneak into the 4)

5. Souths (Sam being back will lift Souths, the loss of Issac will stop us from making the 4)
6. Manly (will improve under Barrett with good signings, may lose depth though to accomodate Walker)
7. Sharks (injuries will hurt them)
8. Penrith (they are my smokey to sneak in)

9. Bulldogs (J. Reynolds is a loose cannon and Mbye can't do it all. Ildiscipline in the forwards will let them down)
10. Storm (The big 3 are getting older and I expect them to come back to the field)
11. Dragons (their forwards over achieved in 2015 and won't be able to keep it up. Benji is too hot and cold)
12. Raiders (12th sounds about right to me. Stuart will struggle with strategy on this inconsistent side)

13. Parramatta (Foran to struggle with hamstring issues)
14. Tigers (have young talent that isn't up to first grade standard, Taupau is a big loss and I think their coach is an issue)
15. Newcastle (will be rebuilding but not up to scratch in 2016. Brown will turn them around in 2017)
16. Titans (I just see them finishing last and Henry getting sacked)

So I've made 3 changes. Warriors, Moanly and Penrith in.

Bulldogs, Storm and St George to miss out.

As ever though, crapshoot. Pretty much think the top 4 will make the 8 and teams 5-12 could all get there, depending on how the season unfolds. Pretty much ranked them in order I think they woud make it. Bottom four are sides I just don't see making the 8, even if they may do a bit better than where I have put them. I do think Raiders will be big improvers, and Warriors don't have any excuses to not be top four next year.

Ever been a top four with no sydney team?

Roosters are still strong on paper, but I suspect JWH will take a while to hit full fitness, they've lost a fullback and seem to be weakening the centres as well if Ferguson moves there and Hastings is still pretty young. They could be the one (along with Raiders) that really make me look stupid this time next year

Pennies and Dragons were destroyed by injuries this year, they will be back next year.

Canberra are hard to get a read on, they have recruited well but its hard to get past their failure of a coach - 18 wins from 48 matches isn't good enough.

* Souths and roosters to drop but still likely make the 8

* dogs and manly miss the 8

* wArriors 4th

* Broncos top 2

* sharks highest finishing Sydney team

* Titans spoon

I have skewed the voting by voting for one team only - Brisbane as I think they'll win it at a canter and the rest is irrelevant

That said, I have to agree with everything you said except the Dogs will make the eight.

Anyone predicting the warriors to finish 2nd has serious issues that need medication (plenty of) to assist a way back to normality.

In no particular order, here's 7 teams I expect to be playing finals footy in 2016

Cows
Boncos
Roosters
Souths
Manly
Warriors
Sharks

The last spot up for grabs could easily be filled by

Storm
Dragons
Eels
Raiders
Dogs
Panthers

If pushed to pick 1, I'll nominate Ricky Stuart to end up justifying the Raiders' decision to sign him up for 10 years on 3 million dollars a year by scraping in to 8th spot on for and against in his 3rd year at the helm... and bomb out in the first week when they are belted 68-nil.... with the obligatory ref's calls going against his team....

I just cannot see how the next 3 can get anywhere near the the 8;

Titans
Tigers
Knights

Long range forecast. I think they're a good shout at top 4 and will def make the 8. May well not be that high, but a good chance if things click.
