count on your fingers from 1967 to 2016 and include both 1967 and 2016 seasons - tell me what the final count is

It's already been stated in 14 other threads that the Panthers have got this wrong and should be calling it 50 seasons and not 50th anniversary

Next year will be our 50th

see the definition in post #4.. the 'anniversary' of something is celebrated the year afterwards..

so if penrith's first season was 1967,

the first anniversary would have been in 1968..

second in 1969..

third in 1970..

fourth in 1971

fifth in 1972..

sixth in 1973..

seventh in 1974..

eighth in 1975..

ninth in 1976..

tenth in 1977..

so carry that forward another 4 decades and let me know how you go..

yes, 2016 is their 50th season.. but it's not their 50th anniversary..

brings back memories of seinfeld..

f**k, your wife must hate you when you don't celebrate your anniversary until the day after!! By the way - what day do you normally celebrate your birthday?

If you got married in 1967, when would you celebrate your 50th wedding anniversary.........

Ffs... I'm all for celebrating 50 seasons but the Panthers have got it wrong here

I guess when your shithouse club is not playing in September a thread about a new logo is all you've got.

i celebrated my first birthday the year after i was born.. sounds odd i know, but i assure you most people are doing the same thing..

and i celebrate my wedding anniversary each year on the same day we got married.. it's an annual thing, not a daily thing :)

What did you think of the one off brown and white striped jersey they wore? Personally I thought it was a great design and was great to see a step change from the normal single colour with trims we see running around.

Fair to say stripes are under utilised in the NRL

Penrith could revive that 1970s vertical design using a black and brown design for home & a white and brown for away - or vice versa.. with the key difference being the shade of brown - using that caramel shade they've recently been keen on instead of the classic chocolate brown.

I totally agree that stripes are under-utilised in the NRL - for new teams, red & black stripes or green & black stripes would be a classy yet distinctive look.

well, i was going to say that the logo isn't quite the right shade of colour, effectively to really honour the original team jersey they should have used RGB 139,69,19...

eg, the souths one was gramatically correct... bulldogs one should have read the same...

shame that souths were factually incorrect with their timings, however..
