Finished watching the game not long ago. I just can't see the defense carrying them to one more win, not without something other then FG's from the offense. I hope Denver can get the win, but scrapping by a beat up Steelers team doesn't inspire much confidence. The have a SB quality defense with a 6-10 quality offense.

For the NFC, that first half by the Panthers was outstanding on both sides of the ball. They couldn't maintain the rage in the second half, but I think they're beating the Cards.

heres how you beat Nw England if you are Denver

1. run the ball effectively and stay on the field for ages. but you have to score TDs. cant win with FG's

2. Take out Gronks knee.

3. some kind of Jim McMahon shoulder spike on the golden boy.

What an ugly game of football

I wouldn't be very excited if I was a Broncos fan!

I am. Flying out to Denver tomorrow!

Patriots = 27 points. "Brady looked amazing, NE offense will roll to another championship".

Broncos = 23 points. "Peyton is too old, Broncos offense will never outscore NE".

It is going to be a great game. The Broncos had 9 drops yesterday, a playoff record I believe. Easily 100+ passing yards were left on the field.

Or have arguably the best secondary defense in the league. Pats don't have a run game, shut down the passing and you have a shot.

Brady doesn't travel to Denver well.

If those simple catches were caught in the Broncos v Steelers game, everyone would be talking about this game very differently. The fundamentals were there in the last game, just the finishing touch was missing and Big Ben was hardly playing like he was injured.

Broncos are in much better shape than when they beat the Pats the first time around. It'll be a lot closer than most are predicting. Pats looked like shit for weeks, they're inconsistent at the moment as well.

The Hawks had a better secondary, and couldn't stop them, they didn't have a run game in the SB either, it will be a close game either way, want to stop the pats, take out Edelman, he's uncoverable.

Pats are nowhere near as good this year as they were last year. Either way, it'll be an NFC team that wins it IMO.

The AFC game is a toss of the coin who will win.

I think NE will win, but I can also see Peyton putting in a big effort in this one considering all that's been said/written and that it could be the final Manning V Brady game for a SB birth. I think he'll find something extra, just not convinced it'll be enough.

Even if Denver do win, Panthers will roll them (Cards probably would too, but I'm picking Panthers)

IMO, it was Avril that was by far the main reason Seattle shut down Denver the year before.

Also, I think Peyton will have a lot of confidence after that win, as the game went along he was becoming less and less rusty.

The fact that NE has like no run game will come back to haunt them I think, but like you said I don't think it matters because the better SB team will be whichever NFC team.
Would be great that way too as both Cardinals and Panthers are ringless iirc.

For Denver to have a chance they'll need to grab the turnover opportunities when presented. The chiefs could have picked Brady off a couple of times in that game, but just missed. At least one of those looked like a pick 6 which would have been a game changer, or at least made it very interesting. Denver have to grab those opportunities if presented.

On the other hand Peyton can't toss int's to the Patriots. Hard to believe the game against Pitt was his first of the season without a pick. Hopefully he can make two games on the trot.
