What about the weather ... nice day today

I just got a pool and today was my first day swimming in it. Heated it to 24 and thought with the sun piercing down on us it would be easy to jump in. It was freezing.

My daughter has been in a few times before with it heated to 24 and I've dipped my feet in previously and it seemed quite nice.

How is it that today was the hottest day of the season so far and the temp has been the same in the pool as cooler days but today the water felt colder????
