It's f**ken bullshit! In any NRL game they pick a man-of-the-match and you think "Yeah I can see why they picked him". But as soon as it's a grand final it's as though man-of-the-match is picked for political reasons. It happens every f**king year.

Maloney was best in the first half but didnt do much in the 2nd.
Fafita probably won em the game and ran like a f**kin mad merkin all night. Probably deserved motm, but he's a dick so f**k him.
Jack Bird was pretty amazing to keep playing after that injury ... and he ran f**kin hard many times down the back end of the game.
Their outside backs are machines ... but none were motm worthy.
Lewis and Prior were strong all game.

At the end of the day the sharks are a good team. Probably why ccm was a bit of a surprise

Maloney did go to water a little in the last 10 mins. Kicked out on the full and another shocker. But he for 72 mins was pretty awesome. Long and short kicking game-Passing game and running. He was the best half on the ground.

Ok ask yourself this - If Maloney didn't play do sharks win? NO
If Fifita doesn't play do sharks win - NO

If lewis doesn't play do sharks win ? Perhaps - Someone else plays more mins

The Sharks should erect a statue of Harold Holt at Shark Park. Or maybe at Northies.

I thought Lewis was the stand out performer for the winners..He is a thorough professional, much like Beau Scott is for Parramatta...

Lewis: 15 runs for 133m, 3 tackle busts, 28 tackles, 1 offload, 0 line breaks, 0 LBA, 0 try
Fifita: 24 runs for 190m, 10 tackle busts, 39 tackles, 1 offload, 1 line break, 1 LBA, 1 try

I think it is clear who the stand out was.

What stood out for me was Lewis beein so slow and run down by Blake green. He did terrorise Cronk all night thou.

Well done Sharks. Great win. Cant believe that fans let off flares at the celebrations though, as seen on Channel 9 this morning.
Hooligans? Nup. Just fun loving Aussies.

Cooper Cronk had the quietest game he ever had and most of that was due to Lewis. He took him out of the game. As much as Fifita did a lot on the ball Lewis did just as much off it.

Was unlucky to be pulled down short on three occasions. His first half was very good and pulled off some important tackles.

It's not the big conspiracy it's being made out to be.

Agreed that Lewis was a handful for Cronk. But Fifita was a handful for the whole Storm side. Lewis was strong but Fifita was unstoppable with the ball and his work rate in defence was outstanding.
