If he can kick and tackle he is better than most other options. I doubt they are looking for him to lead. He will just play a role. I'd say the Dragons will continue to focus on defending well and getting the basics right.

Yeah, but if I'd said he was the complete modern halfback you'd have argued the opposite as well, so forgive me if you haven't changed my mind....

You'll find the 'complete modern halfback' is rare and in high demand. Even the highest spending clubs only have one of them, so at most clubs their secondary playmaker is less-then-complete. My point is that if you have to chop a few qualities from your less-than-complete supporting playmaker you would give up attacking ability rather than defence or kicking.
