These two sides played in a trial game in Alice in February. The NRL probably thinks that's acclimatisation enough.

But seriously there is probably no perfect time for a Darwin game, the players are just going to have to suck it up. Parra have done very well with this NT deal. The amount of Eels gear being worn around town is staggering, and junior rep sides have now gone with the blue and gold strip.

I hope they renew the terms at the end of the current arrangement, it has been a success.

I said it in the Parra section - I hope the Darwin folks get a better spectacle than they got last year when it was Parra V Panthers. That was on the podium for worst game of all time and the one the year before V the Raiders wasn't alot better. Conditions tmrw afternoon at 5pm aren't likely to be condusive to a better game....
