We were lucky to have the greatest player to lace a boot born just up the road.

It's getting worse for us, not better.

It will get worse before it gets better.....this year, there is a lot more pain to come.

Need to blood the young blokes & they will be better for the experience, albeit painful.

Newcastle don't lack guts...they just lack experience and ability. They're throwing a bit at the Dragons but it just looks disjointed and out of sync.

Knights need to look at how the Panthers did it. Buy some nrl experience and aim for solid defenders.

Cogger shouldn't be out there. Play Gagai or Randell at 6.

The Knights attack reminds me of the Denver Broncos in The Simpsons

Cogger is going ok in attack, but his defence is shocking. That said so is Gagai so Cogger surely has the advantage there.

They really haven't got many options. I think Lamb is still injured...maybe Will Pearsall, he's a bit older and more experienced but obviously Cogger is rated the better prospect

The issue is... our young blokes just aren't very good.

Compare Cleary, Ash Taylor and Elgey to Feeney, Lamb and Cogger.

Our spine, even when fully fit, is the worst in the NRL by some way - as is our pack.

Next year is going to be worse than this one - and good luck to us signing anyone. What NRL player in their right mind would want to go there... not that we have any cap space or TPAs anyway.

Randell is a good defender though. Stop gap maybe but at least they will remain in games when they're defending.

Feeney, Lamb and Cogger are all talented but not nrl ready.

We could be running Randell there. We should be, but no-one wants to criticize Brown because he's been served a shit sandwich.

The young blokes need some games under their belt & then a good offseason in the gym...they'll kick on then.

I daresay Brown prefers the idea of having two genuine halves, even if one maybe struggles a bit, with a view to the future. Not that I can claim to know what's thinking. Plus with two rookie hookers in Levi and Randall he probably feels like he's got nothing to play with, it's a tough ask for a rookie to play 80.

I dunno, I don't mind him blooding young halves from the outside looking in. Cogger has a reasonable kicking game, which is useful to take pressure off Hodkinson give he's basically the only ball playing option in the side...
