Why don't you tell us what you think he's worth and how much we will be paying him? You obviously have some strong opinions on this if you think he's a poor signing.
Hes an average plodder, what do they go for these days??? They go more for here at Parra then anywhere else.........

Your marquee player plays on his preferred side. When Norman plays on the right isn't that better for him seeing that he is a left footer?

IF he plays on the right he will get less time to kick being a left footer. The good players don't let this effect them, hopefully plenty of work done to ensure this isn't an issue in the off season

I don't think it'll matter in attack, we'll generally have both halves popping up on either side of the ruck. In defence is where it will matter. You could move either of them over to the other side of the field, both are strong defenders for halves so it won't be a major concern and on that side they'll have Beau Scott as their inside defender who's pretty good.

Preferably when kicking in play you want your kicking foot to be away from the markers so that you have more time to kick the ball. Also try getting the ball from the right side of your body and then kicking with your right foot, or if you are left-footed get the ball passed to you from the left and then try to kick it with your left foot. Very awkward action.

Nope, it's easier for a left footer to kick on the left side and right footer the right side.

Norman is not a strong defender.

Norman is not a strong defender.

Without collating all of the stats just a quick run through it appears he's missing around 2-3 tackles a game. Probably not a strong defender, even for a half but probably average.

*EDIT* He's missed 37 tackles in the 17 games he's played this season. So that's an average of 2.2 tackles per game he misses. Ben Hunt misses 2.8 per game. Hodkinson misses 2.3. Jeynolds 2.6. Austin 2.3. DCE 1.7. Cronk 1.7.

So yeah he's probably average when it comes to defence for a half.

So how does Foran kick for Manly seeing that he is predominately a left side player?

It doesn't mean he can't kick, it means it's harder. It is probably also a reason why DCE does the majority of the kicking.

Thought for the day, when the Eels release a player to sign a second tier deal elsewhere, he is obviously detained to be an international and a mistake on the clubs part

However, if the Eels take a risk on a second tier deal, he is a plodder and we are bereft of ideas and a shambles

Opinions are like backsides we all have one :)

I think most people are happy to take risks on 2nd tier players. I think people don't like re-signing proven duds to 2nd tier deals. If Hassan is 2nd tier (which I doubt) then it's a good deal.

Maybe think a bit harder.
