I forgot that:lol:

Yeah Turner has bulked up.

For our Round 1 starting pack I think this could happen:

8. Tom
9. McInnes
10. Clark
11. Turner
12. Sutton
13. Sam

I'm not a fan of wasting spots in the side and Cook has proven he can play the full 80 mins at the bulldogs last year and his defence and attack is pretty good plus we have Carter who can cover the hooking role if needed coming off the bench.

I agree thats the way Madge might go with.

For the outside backs, though he wasn't spectacular, oldfield looked safe in both trials. Just having a winger who's safe can be as good as having a winger who's spectacular (but makes a lot of mistakes, like a vatavui). Oldfield being able to comfortably fit into fullback is a big help.
Auva'a, Hunt and goodwin spent all their time in the trials at cemtre. If they were legitimate options for wing they would of played some time there. Maybe if aj isn't fit then goodwin could play wing with hunt and auva'a playing centre. If aj is playing then i think we have to go with hunt and auva'a. While goodwin puts in, do we really want to settle for mediocrity, and pick a bloke merely because he can hit the ball up. Both hunt and auva'a showed they can roll their sleeves up in the Titans trial, but we really need to go back to having true centres who pose an attacking threat like 2014 with auva'a and Walker

Goodwin may be in the side most of the season if he continues performing well and giving his all.

I don't think Olive is the answer for this season.

If Olive stays with us he could be the answer for 2017 but he's not ready yet from what I've seen.

because he is playing out of position.

Well Cam is going to have to perform consistently.

If he doesn't then Madge will act tough I hope and drop him.

Bench Rsag85:

14. Cook
15. Carter
16. Brown
17. Musgrove/Tyrrell

Will Madge start the season with young blood in Musgrove???

Or will he go with no frills Tyrrell????

It'll be interesting to see???

I don't think Grevs will be there Round 1 as he hasn't played any matches yet. Madge will probably give him a hit out with Norths.

I think he needs someone on the bench to do a role like Tom has so I think he might go with Musgrove

I wouldn't say Bryson is mediocre.

That's pretty harsh.

Mediocre imo was Millard.

I see Madge picking Goodwin before Oldfield.

I know he's a centre but these guys are ahead of him imo for centre:

Auva'a
Goodwin
Hunt
AJ
Gray

True but things can change look at AJ in 2014 he had a number of players ahead of him and was still playing in the NYC until he overtook everyone and the rest is history as they say.

Good point.

Olive has to improve though in the next couple of months.

He's got hard work to do.

So what's that got to do with this???

I know what mediocre is without reading this post.

Are you sold on Hunt yet or do you see my point on him doing good things in the trials without standing out and making you take notice?

So goodwin is almost the exact definition of mediocre.
All the synonyms perfectly describe him to, except for amateurish, got to give it to him for being a professional with a good attitude.

I agree with you re Hunt.

I'm not fully sold yet.

As I've said in the trials Auva'a didn't get as much game time. Maybe Madge didn't want to risk him.

Goodwin was the best centre in the trials I thought he stood out more.

Overall I reckon our best centre this season will be Auva'a.

Disagree.

We've went over this before so we won't go there again.

So you exclude amateurish.

You call Bryson lacklustre, ordinary, not very good, uninspired, pedestrian, forgettable etc.......

That disgusts me tbh.

Bad judgement.
