I know the viking clap is silly (and not even original) but its good for the game for fans to get involved. Might make someone go to the game instead of sitting at home
Few chants at the footy are original - in all codes. Think of You'll Never Walk Alone. Liverpool, Celtic and others do that.

I think it's great that the Raiders have adopted the Icelandic Viking clap. It makes perfect sense and sounds fantastic.

That's what footy is about. Building an atmosphere and having an wesome time. Far from silly I hope they keep it up!

Yeah i agree mate

Dont know why neutral fans are so negative towards it. It was cool. I thought i could even hear the sharks fans chanting "sharkies" in between the claps which is also awesome. Adds to thr theatre

That was a funny game - it looked like the big Raiders forwards were totally dominating but players like Fifita and Prior turned it around.

That's a bit rough. They just got sprayed by the crowd for the past 80 minutes plus warm up. all the games I ever played at Canberra stadium and worked at were second only to the manly crowd in spraying the opposite team

Agreed.

I also doubt any Raiders fan is weak willed enough to let this discourage them.

This is only going to spur them on and build rivalry, it's a great thing for our game

Well that was a let down. We looked gassed from the 2nd half kick off. Whitehead in particular was on his haunches most of the game. We didn't even use our right side in attack, bj was basically used as an extra second rower.

Buy seasons prob toast now with hodgo looking like a serious injury.

Well done sharkies.

I've thought for quite some time that the Raiders pack might have real issues in finals footy and I think we saw that tonight. They're big, which is fine, but they all seem to be the same size and shape with not a lot of endurance or footwork. They were on struggle street just after half time, bunching up in the process, and the Sharks were making big inroads.

I think if they come up against the Cowboys or Melbourne they could be in some trouble. Cronk et al will just turn that pack around with early kicks.

The defensive set immediately after half time was tired and lack desire. Looked like the effort you'd expect at 75th minute

Turning us around hasnt been that big of a deal because of our backs being the size of forwards. Its more missing tackles around the ruck when they get tired

That said boyd and paulo defended like much smaller men

The problem is if there is like 6000 fans on a cold saturday night haha. The other team fans will be able to hijack it.

That said i think like the raiders are winning back the local community

Raiders missed Austin and the Hodgson injury hurt them.
Didn't get enough good ball out to the centres.
Sharks looked better when Townsend went off.
