DWZ being picked for NZ in front of Rapana was arguably the stupidest selection decision ever.
At his best he's got the ability to jag a try for you out of nothing, like in the semi-final against the Roosters in 2004. That was the ultimate clutch play and would have made a lot of people take notice. This year wasn't his best but he's been greatly improved over the last month or two. I was calling for him to be dropped following the Warriors game in round 21 (and I was far from alone). I was a bit surprised NZ picked him, maybe they felt sorry for him. They'd picked him twice before but he missed out due to suspension and then illness.
