2017 Crowd Watch

[Perth Red]

Good crowds? I have not seen a decent walk up crowd since East Roosters played South Sydney in last round about 5 years ago. From memory a crowd approaching 60000 was achieved. This was unexpected and plenty of fans were walk ups on the Friday night.

We get 40k afl crowds, sell out basketball crowds, 20k cricket crowds and even shtty perth glory get 11-12k without cut price tickets.

1. Why does nrl have to give tickets away to get fans to go when other sports don’t?
2. Do you think reducing tickets prices by a third will double crowds in order to cover the financial losses?

There’s be no price excuse for the dbl header at anz with tickets for ga at $20 and free children admission. Surely should sell out with 4 Sydney clubs involved and cheap tickets?

Like I said, Australian RL fans. Softcks when it comes to a bit of weather.
I was surprised at the perth kiwis not turning up at this years games, thought they’d be a bit more hardened to a bit of rain.
