What a touching gesture from the Cowboys to do their grand final captains run at Kogarah Jubilee Oval, in a nod to the Dragons support in getting them through to the finals.

I can only attribute this being possible as a result of all round good guy, Jonathan Thurston.... is there any wrong he can't make right?

Hearing JT will stick around after the Grand Final to clean up the confetti if Cowboys win

Mackelmores soundcheck/practice has been scheduled as the same time as the cowboys captains run so they’ve had to move it Kograh.

Pretty piss poor imo.

Why does the NRL insist on shit music? Why can't we ever have a good band like the Foo Fighters, U2 or Pearl Jam?

Yep

Hopefully if he does get it he puts in a performance deserving of it. The award has really become quite farcical. Fifita should've won it last year and Thurston 2015 was a joke.
It's great if you want to have a punt. Storm win into cam smith CC gets much better odds than just storm to win. And it's basically guaranteed.

Made the same bet in 2015 with cows into JT CC.

That would be awesome but would cost a lot. Id rather a local act on Sunday and not someone creating a sh1t storm pre game (pardon the pun).

Katter Begins Pre-Match Mind Games By Firing Adler Shotgun Into Shopfronts In Bondi

Maverick North Queensland MP Bob Katter has flown down to Sydney today to support his beloved NRL Side. First stop, Bondi Beach.

The sunkissed boys from the North Queensland Cowboys are living out yet another fairytale finals dash, but history shows they a late round match against Sydney Roosters is a curveball for any club. Since their inception in 1995, the Cowboys have struggled to get one over the boys from Bondi this late in the season.

It is for this reason that Bob Katter MP has been standing in the main drag of Bondi Beach’s Campbell parade firing a legally-grey lever-action shotgun into the local businesses.

“It’s just a bit of mind games” he said to both police and the media.

“Sometimes, with a team like the Roosters you need to show them that we mean business up north”

Katter says that the reputation held towards North Queenslanders as being polite and gentle salt of the earth types doesn’t help when it comes to the pre-match intimidation factor.

“Let me tell you, it wasn’t easy getting this thing through Kingsford Smith. These bloody nanny state airport security were acting like I’m of Arabic descent or something” he says before firing a round into the glass facade of a nearby juice bar.

“This’ll get into their heads”

Of the two sides’ 35 meetings, North Queensland have won just 10 — the Roosters second best strike-rate against any rival and the Cowboys worst against any team (equal with the Melbourne Storm).

Whispers are that Kogarah isn't the place they will be for the captain's run. It's being used as a ruse to prevent spying with drones. They'll be elsewhere.

I am happy for a local band also.
Loacal band? Most of them are continually on the road due to booking commitments made months prior,or are working on new material or recording.

And there are some management agencies who would avoid the GF if it meant that their artist wasn't getting paid. But thats another point.

If we play our best I think we should win but there is so much that can happen. With the way LoLo and Morgan are playing you can't write them off against anyone. It's gonna be cracking game regardless.
