2017 Jerseys, Logos, Sponsor Discussion

Bit of talk on Dragons forum from a few posters that we're leaving ISC next year, possibly going to blades.

If true, wouldn't be the worst. Blades have been good with regards to fairly classic looking designs for sharks and eels, which is what is needed for a club like ours. ISC are good but if it means no more Marvel jerseys, count me in!

That would be a terrible result for the Dragons, Blades are so far behind every other manufacturer it's not funny. I'm a Dogs fan and was so happy when they switched to Canterbury after 2 years with Blades. Everything they produce is just cheap and nasty. Look at the Eels jersey this year they can't even get the cut of the jersey right around the arms. If I was a Dragons fan I'd be stocking up on ISC gear while I can.

Blades produced reasonable quality stuff for the Tigers until about 2012, then a real dip in how well made stuff was.

I see three tigers jerseys.

During the season, clubs should only have Home and Clash strips as on-field wear. Let the clubs go crazy producing supporter jerseys for whatever floats their boat - indigenous, WIL, etc.

Would also like to see jerseys cleaned up substantially to reduce the number of sponsors, so that they look more like footy jerseys and less like V8 Supercars.

Unfortunate to see that the yellow piping has disappeared from the Kangaroos collar. Also 2 stripes on the shorts needs to make a comeback.

The current CCC design panels would make it very easy to achieve this look:

Unless you're a size large and upwards Country jerseys are sold out. I was only able to grab a City jersey in a smaller size.

Of all these I like the Canberra one the best as it has the indigenous design that, on the front anyway, isn't covered with sponsors.

I really like that template actually, makes it look like a real collar, from the front anyway.

I really wish the Kiwis would stick with the Gold for the smaller stripe in reference to the All Golds

I know it isnt strictly the national sporting colours, but associating themselves with the All Golds gives them the claim of being the oldest rep team in RL history.

And it gives them greater distinction from the All Blacks in their other merch sales. (when they see that black&white, most people would think "Union")

The concept looks so much less cheap when they do it consistently across all teams...

Now all they need to do is keep it all to a single round and get all teams to participate.

Until then, the concept will just stay cheap and half-assed (at least "cheap and half-assed" is consistent with the rest of RLs history regarding branding)...

No thanks. Our jersey is black with 2 white vees. Maybe your country should add pink or rainbow to associate themselves with wankers.
