Purple jersey to signify a cross between QLD and NSW jerseys wasn't very well thought out. Should be representative of the whole country not just two states. Just further perpetuates that Rugby League is a NSW & QLD sport, they really should have had more foresight than that.
Yep, even a navy/gold would have been more representative of the country as they are Australia's heraldic colours.

Roosters do a patch for 5, 10 and so on years of membership.

Roosters also had a survey sent out to all members for input into the 2017 Marvel Jersey asking what character it should be if not Captain America.

I hope "The Amazing Guy Who Wears a Regular Roosters Jersey" ends up being the theme.

You know the original Australian jersey was maroon and blue hoops, right?

Anyway, here's the Dragons' 2017 home jersey. Looks like a thicker vee?

Edit: Wait on, that's a sponsor movement to under the vee! Hmmm

Which in turn was a combination of NSW's and Qld's colours.

St. George's V has a variable width. Will have to see how it looks on.

The vee does appear to get skinnier as it heads towards the point. Not sure how I feel about that. The jury is out for me.

That marks the end though of 11 straight years of having the exact same dimensions of the vee on our home jersey. The current dimensions started in 2006 when we have our first ever polyester home jersey, when adidas took over from classic. Since then, despite multiple changes to the collar, the vee has remained unchanged, with ISC continuing the vee over the shoulder since 2014 (but same angle and thickness).

This vee is similar, but different to the heritage jersey of the past 2 years.

They really aren't. Australia never had any official colours until 1984, when the Governor-General declared green and gold to be our colours. Prior to that, several different colour combinations had been unofficially used to represent Australia, including blue and gold. Many people think that blue and gold used to be our colours because the wreath on our coat of arms is blue and gold. But in heraldry, the wreath on any coat of arms is supposed to display the colours most prominently featured on the escutcheon.

Hopefully it looks better in the flesh than in a 3D mock-up.

Could have sworn they were but that's interesting to know.

If the 60-game player must wear a distinct jersey on-field, why not make a green jersey with metallic gold replacing yellow?

Sorry for three posts in a row, but is there anybody with good enough Photoshop skills who could modify that to show us what it would look like if the tops of the V carried on straight?
