Speaking of which, why do RL clubs in the UK love adopting the national team kits? I was doing a concept for England RL and wanted to distinguish them from RU. Maybe red hoops like in the past? Nope, Wigan uses them. White with a red V? St. Helens.
I've always thought that too... it is very bizarre. I guess the only time they all agree on is when they have a big crosd in the middle. Why can't they adopt the blue and red vee like gb they are englands nstional colours anyway.

Confusion more than anything. Plus I'm sure they want to keep that look for future GB tours. Maybe England could go with a white jersey and shorts with red/white hooped socks. Is there an England club RL team already wearing that?

I know that England RL have struggled to come up with an iconic kit for a long time.

If they wear a white shirt with red vee(s) it p*sses off the Wigan and to a lesser degree the Leigh fans, both have a traditional red and white kit and they hate St Helens. The situation is reversed with a red and white hooped shirt. To us it seems very petty but that's the reality, and that's why we see these predominately white jerseys with the tacky St Georges cross on them. They have to also differentiate themselves from the national Union side as well.

And... that's why bringing back GB would end the madness.Iconic shirt design that 99% RL fans know and identify with.

Looks odd that the black at the bottom of the orange doesn't continue to the arms. Its annoying me much more than it should.

If we could just get a crest that isn't shite it would be a great start. England the land of crests, arms and flags and thats what the RFL came up with. Looks like something from clip art on windows 95.

Personally I would like a design with the three lions like football and cricket use but I can also understand they may want to carve out their own brand.

Old rugby league logo. Not a huge fan of this one either, the lions look odd almost like the big paper dragons you see during Tet but anything is better than what we have now.

I think the sleeves should be orange too.
Same for the Main jersey. This is a mock-up that was done on Wests Tigers Forum.

If they were to go with the three lions, would a red shield and gold lions be a feasible option or is there a historical/practical reason for not using it? It would certainly stand out from the others.

I can't say I know of any reason it couldn't be that combination. I think white with blue lions is just what was used in old heraldry.

It was the option that the public voted for.

Aren't the official colours called white, black and gold, not orange?

Gold is an extremely broad term that ranges from metallic, to yellows to oranges. Personally I find it an inconvenient term when used for anything outside of metallic gold.

I agree in general but the Tigers' own terminology is the word gold isnt it? Was in Balmain's song

As posted on Jubilee Ave, the new dragons jersey on Mick Simmons looks significantly better than the one that our forum colleague tried on at the Dragons team store.

Hopefully ISC realised the issue after the first production run and have fixed up the dimensions. I could definitely live with the jersey in the bottom pic.
