Sydney Airport has Kangaroos jerseys for sale at $229, that's ridic. I didn't see how much the Wallabies ones cost, but surely no one would pay that much, other then the odd cashed up tourist but even then it couldn't be justified.

Curious that the SMH article about the sponsorship indicates Manly receiving the cash for the stadium naming rights. Would have thought Manly council would have received that cheque.

From what I understand companies want maximum visibility of their brand on TV when sponsoring clubs and with that I'd imagine that they'd go with the plain white "Lottoland" as it stands out the most against the maroon jersey. But that's applying logic to the NRL and ISC and the club and the sponsor, so Manly will end up with some clusterf*ck like the first option.....

we're talking about a club that had an apple sticker on the front of their jersey the past few years.... even when apple sticker company didn't even want to sponsor them anymore.

I guess it depends on what agreement the have with Manly as main tenants.

The club negotiated the naming rights when they renewed their lease last year. They have basically recouped the hiring fee they pay the council who have been ruminating about naming rights for a decade or so but achieved f**k all. Good win for the club, shitty for the local ratepayers who are out a bunch of potential money.

Everything at the airport is expensive.

Will sharks be the only team since 1976 to win a premiership and have no major sponsor the following year ?

Do you ever get tired of making yourself look like a f**king idiot.

Just a few posts up from yours this was posted.

f**k it was even posted after the 9's jersey.

If something does happen to the company it is through no fault on Cronullas part.

Emblems are not embroided either. Totally agree on London Broncos, they need to choose colours and stick to them. I also hate those tshirt collars!

The article in question that was posted was from October too lol.

I work near a Capital Health branch in Melbourne and can guarantee they haven't gone under yet.

They are in financial strife and tried to load offload the commitment. Sharks couldn't find a replacement so they have to honour the agreement, unless they go into administration I suppose in the mean time. Why sharks couldn't find a replacement is interesting given they are the premiers.

Capitol's share price has fallen 88 per cent since March 2015 – from $1.10 to 13¢ – wiping $351 million from its market value.

Long term it probably looks better for them to have longevity in a sponsor - while they're still solvent, regardless of share price - who cares?

The way you enthusiastically and actively talk elements of our sport down like they're a source of shame will forever confuse me.

A few notes about kits from the nines.

Sharks looked terrible on field today, in their first game the jersey looked white.

Parra's also looked awful. Did inyone else notice that their sleeves looked really long and baggy?

Something cool I noticed about the knights shorts(it's their home shorts), the blue on them isn't just plain blue, it's checkered blue like back in the day.

Best looking jerseys on field imo are Souths, Cowboys, Gold Coast and Melbourne.

Yep. Parra reminded me of a 2000's under 16's team with everyone taping their baggy sleeves up to their underarms.
