Sia has been sent straight to the judiciary. He could get ages lol

Rapana cited for a shoulder charge.

I think it was 4-6 range but he probably has prior offences and probably has carry over points, and he'll get some tax on that due to the fact they didn't send him off, that it was on slater, that the referee's boss has already laid down a strong statement, 4-6 would be where I think it falls, but with those other factors 6-8 seems the likely result

and as much as I don't like the tackle and feel it should have been a send off, I think Archer should be hauled over the coal for releasing that statement, that's ridiculous behaviour to release such a statement. It's basically given Sia no chance at a fair hearing
He should get rubbed out for a long time, but he should also get the right to a fair and untainted hearing and the referee's boss should not be commenting in such a manner until the hearing is completed.

Haha you're right
What was I thinking?

Sia is going to get what he deserves but the referee's boss commenting on any situation (for or against) that is likely to attract a charge is completely inappropriate and unprofessional

Slothfield has written a disgraceful piece saying that Soliola deserves harsh treatment because it was Slater he hit, Slater is popular with women and it was Women in League round.

Sia deserves a spell on the sideline, but he's going to get absolutely crucified.

I'd have thought a grade 3-4 reckless would have been enough. That would see him out for 4 weeks unless he has loading.

Mainly he just should have been sent off. I'd much rather just see refs quicker to send players from the field than have them get stung with some massive reactionary suspension after the game is done

3-4 Reckless is only 4 weeks? Wow!!!

400 and 450 points respectively, so a cleanskin with no loading would miss 3 or 4 weeks with an early plea.

Since it's been straight referred I expect they will hit him with a 6+ week suspension instead

Dicky Stuart can sook all he wants but that was a red card every day of the week. Hypocritical prick. Awful tackle that deserves 6 weeks. Should be the end of his season.

Incident aside. Would the NRL have put out a press release within an hour of the incident if it was a less known player?I don't think so.

And the way they have prejudiced the judicary decision seems like a due process nightmare.

This is essentially unprecedented.

Well
I guess if it wasn't one of the greatest players to have ever played the game there would not have been so much publicity immediately after the incident.

Only a complete idiot can not see that is a send off.
That is all archer said.
Should've been sent off.
Probably should've waited to say it but,
he is still %100 correct in his opinion.

Not sure what drugs the refs and bunker were on.
