I'll give a couple of reasons just to play devil's advocate:
- We don't really have any idea how good the Warriors are. They have played crappy teams the whole time and as soon as they were down by 25 to a team that might actually challenge them they had a massive break go their way and we never got to find out.
- Leading on from the above point, we haven't seen this iteration of the team under pressure in a big moment. Yes when everything is clicking it's great fun. What happens in a really high pressure situation that they haven't really experienced as a unit before?
- Yes their high-end talent is off the charts but their supporting cast is weaker than last year. If the shots aren't falling for the big 3 then they don't have a heap of other places to turn. In fact I would go as far as to say the Cavs have more potential options on attack than the Warriors.
- LeBron.
Lebron has spent the last decade in a conference of crappy teams...
I just get the feeling the Warriors have blown everyone out purely because they have more talent than everyone else.
The whole they haven't been tested theory holds no value to me... they were taken to the brink by OKC last season and it didn't do them any good in the big moments vs the Cavs.
I honestly think people are over complicating it...
The way I see it... the Warriors were marginally the better team last season... and they just added KD.
That put considerable space between them IMO.
It is only my opinion of course...
