Open your eyes?

"Tremendous" long kicking?

You are gripping it way too tightly. What "tremendous" long kick did he put in? Not one found open ground.

You are kidding yourself. He was dogshit.

He basically gave Oates fielding practice for 25 minutes launching useless bombs. Then with his eye in Oates snaps that nice catch out of the air for their first try.

Could argue the same about Cronk giving it up for our back 3. Those high bombs are now the go to for every half in the game.

I was pissed with his short kicking game. Otherwise Pearce was fine.

Go back and watch the game without blinkers on. Two piss poor short kicks were well outshadowed by a tremendous long kicking game, some superb defense and great organisation of his forwards. I get you don't like him, probably in a bandwagon sort of way but open your eyes. I can't stand Darius but I will admit when he does play well, which unfortunately is most of the time

Don't worry about the haters, regardless of what happens they will sprout the same rubbish.

He was the best half on the field for the first 50 min.

Some people on here can't or won't accept the fact that bombing the ball on the opposition 10m line is a legit tactic to control field position and in this case prevent oates from making a hit up.

They will then point to the 3 tries after he left the field for vindication, ignoring the fact that one try was tedesco brilliance and another off a mistake as if somehow that wouldn't have happened if pearce was there.

So, anyone miss big James Tamou tonight?

What were NSW selectors thinking all those years??????
It's a shame that NSW didn't adopt that style of play years ago. We have had strong forwards for a while but it was always defence & conservative play meaning we played not to get belted/hang on instead of win. Game 3 last year looks to have set a tone. 2 games to go but signs are there for something special from the Blues.

Qld got very close to scoring four times, despite the limited opportunities they had on nsw line. Add JT, particularly his kicking game and shuffle the bench around a bit and there's nothing in it.
Not to mention the fact that the 6 times that NSW were close to Qld's line in the 1st half, and take away the arsey Qld try from the kick, and you have N.S.W. winning by 70-18.

Mmmmhmmm

Every half in the game does it. Its very predictable and boring. The chasing team don't even bother to contest the ball any more.

Thought Milford and Napa went ok on debut and will be better for the run next time around.

Love the Pearce hate. Makes 20 tackles, missed three, scores a try, inside ball to Fifita help set up the first try and generally played well.

Of course on here though he was terrible and should be replaced in game 2 despite helping destroy QLD. Game 2 should be the exact same team as this game.

The only way he helped NSW was by getting his sorry arse dragged off the field.

No mystery in how NSW poured on the points as soon as he was out of there and not putting in those woeful 10mm grubbers.

f**k him awwwwfff already!!!!

Not ONE of Pearce's long kicks found ground and not ONE short kick earned a repeat set. These are two simple metrics of a good halves game and he failed abysmally in both. He is a f**king complete joke and I hope he's out for Game 2 by hook or by crook.

Morris did an awesome job. Made a couple tackle busts good metres gained defended well. I didn't even think about Mansour once.
Agree he was solid but we missed Mansours speed. Morris had open space a few times and couldn't capiltise.

Haha this guy

JT was not going to stop what happened tonight. He would have been chewed up like the rest

I'd throw Mansour (if he returns well) on Fergusons wing he lacked something tonight but even then imo Addo Carr is ahead of him this season for mine.
