Woods and Jackson aside, our pack is strong and we will get our chances. Qld will win the penalty count on their own shitheap as they always do, but if NSW bash Milford early, he will go back into his shell and then the pressure builds on Cronk. We have a complete passenger at 7, so this is offset by the fact all of our tries will need to be set up by Maloney.

One live rubber win in Qld in 12 years, I have zero confidence this NSW rabble won't shit the bed in the big moments, as it has done for 11 of the past 12 series.

Interesting stat to put the Pearce hate in perspective. Lockyer could barely beat Fittler or Joey during the first half of his Origin career.


He saved his Origin legacy when those greats retired. Pearce now has his own chance to rectify the past as Qlds own greats reach the end of their careers.
