It just had to be this way. Whats the point of having the 3rd game for Thurston and Cronk unless its to win the series? Disgraceful in one sense, but brilliant in another.

NSW had chances to win the game. But if you keep giving QLD that many chances to win a game they will steal one. Best spine of all time leading the charge. Hell, give enough chances and you'll even make Dane Gagai look like an origin player.

NSW played stupid football. Whenever they got a bit of momentum they'd push a tupid pass or give away a penalty, mostly down that left side. You invite any side back in it enough they will capitalise, let alone one with the quality of Qlds spine.

If it was the other way round, the Queensland coach wouldn't need to tell them. Smith would do it, and lead the way himself. Cordner, unfortunately, didn't seem to think of it.
