Its sad when as a blues fan, it doesnt even hurt anymore.

Its even sadder when Thurston had more influence on the game than most of the NSW players yet he wasnt even on the field.

Its sadder still, that with what happened last night, NSW have allowed QLD to blood new talent they will continue to carry the QLD team to more success when the likes of Smith, Cronk and Slater join Thurston in retirement.

Can we say that NSW are where QLD were in 1979 yet? Is it time for a new concept?

Cordner was clearly the problem for the Blues last night...

Efforts like that should automatically bar you from selection.

Just looking at this photo again it really does speak a thousand words. Wallace appears to be walking flat-footed and not ready for the pass that's coming from Munster. Woods and Fifita are jogging and on the balls of their feet watching the play unfold.

Yet somehow Wallace manages to stroll through untouched and score. The bounce was friendly for Wallace, but Fifita gave up way too easily and Woods didn't even try to stop him.

I understand that Aaron Woods stormed out of the dressing room post game and Daley yelled the following

There were a lot of problems. Cordner conceded the same amount of points when he fell over Pearce and let Munster stroll through for QLDs 3rd.
Stop stating facts, it upsets team Plodner.

A few knock ons from him also, 1 on the QLD try line. Captain McPlod.

Fook it,carry on to your hearts content. Most of us in here are quite used to it from over 12 years of ridicule.

After a while, one does get used to the usual bullshit we serve up.
I prefer the lame insults of the last 12 years to some pitying QLDer trying to crawl up our arses.

Like someone posted earlier, the losses don't hurt as much as they used to.In fact,I'm indifferent.

I guess the only ones who are genuinely pissed off are those NSW supporters who trek up to Qld year in and year out in a Blue wig, only to find themselves looking and feeling stupid after the game.

Cordner was clearly carrying an injury - looking at his stats for the previous 2 games tells a different story. What was Fifita/Woods' excuses?

This loss is totally on Daley and the fwds. They gambled with Cordner and Frizell fitness wise and lost. The opening of the game from the middle fwds was insipid and that is being kind.

Never been a Pearce fan or apologist but the people saying he lost us the game are ignoring the obvious. We got towelled up badly in the fwds.

Hopefully this is the end of Daley. Time to look elsewhere...

The only thing that is crawling up your ass is your boyfriends dick.

Is that the sort of childish post you were looking for?
Don't worry mate. You're one of the good ones. Thanks for not being a tool like all those other mean Queenslanders.

Was that the pat on the head you were looking for?

Ultimately, all I want is to see NSW playing good footy and showing purpose behind how they play. They showed both these qualities in Game 1 and the first hour of Game 2. The results will take care of themselves. For the beer-gutted illiterates who think the exploits of a team of footy players reflects their standing as a person and that their place of birth is some kind of life achievement? Winning is the only thing to them- but not to me. I wasn't happy after Game 3 last year- it glossed over the inability of NSW to ram the result home with the refs in their favour. As the NSW commentators jizzed over the match-winner, my words were "F**king hell they just saved Daley's f**king job!" That game saved Daley's NSW coaching position- and cost NSW this years' series when it was right there for the taking.

Looking over this Blues team, there aren't too many players I'd cut (Woods, Jackson and Pearce, with Hayne and Graham being put on notice). Attitude would make a huge difference to how they played- when Graham made that strip, Qld had completed just 2/6 sets since half-time and were only 6 points in front. A better disciplined, better coached side should've been patient and worked themselves back into the contest. Qld made quite a few errors themselves last night in that second half that a better-coached side would've pounced on.

Now Joey might not be the best guy to take over the NSW job, but I've seen more heart and a better understanding of what's needed to win in two post-game rants from him this series than I've heard from Daley in 4 years. I'd prefer somebody with NRL coaching experience who will put a rocket up players with no second thought. Even if they're a complete prick. Whoever it takes to get the right attitude in this team and have them playing consistent footy that's enjoyable to watch? Lock 'em in!

I don't know if Joey is getting professional help for the issues he has but if not don't put him in charge of others, he cannot even look after himself.

I agree that Joey needs to make sure he's in the right mental state to manage the team. But I think that his condition could actually benefit the role- we all saw what he achieved as a player when he was 'on', and even when he wasn't 'on' he rarely had a poor game. That would transmute very well to Origin coaching and, being a 3-game-a-year gig I think he could handle it.

We at least know that (unlike Daley) he's not afraid to call things for what they are and give people a dressing down if they don't match his high expectations. He would've torn strips off the team at half-time. If Laurie's demeanour matched what we saw in his brief interview immediately following the break, is it any wonder they got beat?
