Bahaha, Joey is one of the greatest Origin players off all time and one of the most epic performances in Origin ever seen is by him. Tenuous legacy, hahahaha

( equal to Thurston, half as many as Smith)

I love the insecurity in this.

2 lost series ( equal to Thurston, half as many as Smith)

2 Clean sweeps ( more then Thurston and Smith)

4 man of the match awards

Series winning captain

Generally one of the best on ground win loss or draw.

Yea he hasn't got much of an origin Legacy
f**k off LMAO he hardly ever played his correct position. Comparing his efforts with JT and Smith is embarrassing...and the merkin cant fight. good for nothing druggo.

The Queensland forwards outplayed their Blues counterparts and won the game for Queensland. What I think there should be more of is the "we wuz robbed by the refs" call that normally goes up after every NSW loss.
By the way it's great to be a Queenslander right now LOL.
And now?

How about now?

I feel like Cooper and Gillett are responsible for this win as much as the play makers.
I'm not sure they've played together much before, but they were the reason nobody was getting through that defensive line.

The post is about to be some long winded, repetitive bullshit but I'm going to post it anyway because it'll make me feel slightly better.

It should not be ducking possible to win one series from the last 13 in a two horse race. I don't care how good a pack of future immortals are, we have come too close too many times to put it dows to bad luck, or discepency in skill level for that matter.

How is it that we we lead by 10 points in game two, with a 1-0 series advantage and go on to f**k it up. So many individual moments can be pinpointed but there's really no point.

Tonight? Well that was f**king pathetic. I can't even remember where we looked like scoring? Even our try was lucky. The mentality for their third was up there with the worst I've ever seen in origin. How Holmes had time to juggle the ball, fall over, roll, get back up and score without being touched is inexcusable.

We cooked it this year, and with young guns like Munster and Holmes shining, we are going to need the lube once more next year.

Congratulations Queensland fans, I envy the culture you two headed bastards have.

Maguire also. The three backrowers stepped up the defence in game 2 and just went feral tonight. Belting everyone.

Hayne could take Fergo's wing spot with Dugan given the big shoulder and 2 actual centres selected.
In all fairness,Hayne had no business in being in this NSW side. My guess is that because of his so called drawing power, the powers that be demanded that he got picked.

NSW has too many tendancies in their selection criteria. Select players who are genuine good thinking players who can last the 80 without panicing when the shit hits the fan.

Is origin dead yet in the same way people say international RL is dead due to the kangaroos continuing dominance?

The problem every year is all the ex NSW players like Andrew johns today who say the NSW forward pack is superior to qld. Things like this are said every year. The lack of respect outside the spine for qld is why nsw lose every year cos they done take the other 13 players seriously enough.

Qld got dominated game 1 and they made changes and we thought we would roll them.

Maybe outside of Jake and Klemmer. The rest have been outplayed this year by the likes of Glasby, Hess, Wallace. You telling me after watching sides like tigers and bulldogs who's packs have been dominated by storm, broncos and Co. That players like Woods and Jackson are so much superior to those I mention.

You can thank Bob Fulton, Craig Bellamy and Laurie Daley for much of this.

The first two for putting club loyalty (and in Bellamy's case, protecting his best Storm players) ahead of the best interests of their State, and Daley for being the kind of coach who can't lead a team to close the door on a series when leading by 10 points in Game 2.

Qld have the advantage in Origin- their players are concentrated amongst the Broncos, Storm and Cowboys mainly- so you have a large chunk of players familiar with each others' games from their regular NRL clubs. NSW have more players to select from, but they're spread across a wider range of clubs. This is why the Blues can't have selectors blinded by club loyalty or coaches with no previous NRL experience.
