Based on his recent form, not enough.

Fergo has finally pulled his finger out (the pun possibility there is enormous) and has been on fire lately.

But did the Roosters exspect him to be a specialist winger? He was the worst fullback I've seen when he got a crack at that and he has never went that well at centre. I think when they bent over backwards for him they would have been thinking fullback but he was shit.

To be fair he isn't even the worst fullback we have had, Braith Anasta says hello.

Nope, Ferguson was never really looked at as a fullback by the Roosters. When the Roosters signed him, for the 2015 season, Anthony Minichiello had just retired and it was well know Roger Tuivasa-Sheck was going to be the Roosters fullback in 2015 and beyond. Things went awry for the Roosters when the Warriors wadded in with a big money offer for 2016-2019 after they'd offloaded Sam Tomkins. Until this occurred, RTS was going to be fullback, with Trent Robinson announcing he planned to blood Latrell Mitchell in first grade in 2016 on the wing. When RTS moved, Robinson did not want to throw Latrell Mitchell straight into first grade at fullback, he thought it was heaping too much pressure on a rookie so he looked at other options before deciding that Ferguson would do the job in 2016 as a stop gap with Latrell taking the job in 2017.

You can find this info if you do some searching as Trent Robinson was very open about what he planned to do.

Broncos will battle hard but missing too many pieces for the victory. Would've given them a chance at home but Boyd is a massive loss.

Roosters to have gotten a leg up here.

Last time we played these merkins in a final we had JWH out and Pearce on 1 leg so f**k em.

(It is always a little disappointing from an entertainment point of view to have a game missing stars though)

If both teams turn up, we should have a really good game of footy on our hands.

When the Roosters have been at their best they've been a joy to watch. The way Pearce & Keary combine allows the outside men to run onto the ball and when players like Mitchell and Ferguson get good quality pill they can do just about anything.

On the other hand, Brisbane just play footy. They're a very similar team to Penrith in that there really isn't a set play, they just rely on their skillful players to play what's in front of them and it invariably results in points.

I'm looking forward to it, not only as a supporter but as a fan in general.

Losing Darius is a bridge too far for the Broncos. Will be a huge upset if the Roosters don't win this

Looking forward to the finals starting.

Hard to pick this game as both teams have been inconsistent.

Roosters probably less so....
