when you are penalised over & over
& when the same offence is perpetrated on you & you get nothing from the refs

its hard to remain focused

When you're anchored to your goal line, you're more likely to concede penalties. Compound that with lack of ball and the penalty count is not improbable.

Most of us had that chalked up as a loss before kickoff. Feeling a bit more confident for the Sharks next week though.

they broke the laws as they were being intepreted by the refs when we were defending tonight
we got nothing

Its the same deal as the roosters under robinson. The refs dont want to blow a penalty every ten seconds. So when a side is being as blatant as we were they will ignore infractions from the other team.

Yeah that sucks but we could dial it back a bit too.

refs only reffing one side
a legit try to break golden point pulled back from a sus forward pass call

it was a win on many fronts

you settle a side down by showing them you are reffing both teams & penalising the opposition for the same things youve been pinged for

to ignore these things just builds frustration in one team

I had us losing by 12 given the circumstances. The Raiders goal line defence was above and beyond all expectations. Great game to watch all around.

Goes to show that trial form is not always indicative of the season proper.
