Hey, full credit to Marshall for clawing his way back. Just saying that if I am the opposition going through the team sheet, I want to read Marshall and not Hunt. (Despite the fact all Bronco supporters hate him now for going elsewhere)

I just think that if they call him back later in the year, he will not be up for it given the zero faith Bennett is showing in him. Played 2 games back, one of which was with a decimated team and the other against one of the best teams in the comp, then he punts him.

None of my business I guess, just my two cents worth.
I would prefer to face Hunt. You know he wont kick a field goal to win a game and you know the second his team has the lead he will kick for touch and try to close the game out rather than keep trying to win.

Fair enough. Everyone has an opinion I guess.

I'm willing to bet if you polled a club on who they would want in their team as a half between the two, Hunt would win in a landslide.

Still - he's on the bench, not starting.

Hunt is a decent player, but he has some glaring weaknesses that may never improve given how long they have existed, the lack of improvement shown in certain areas to date, and his current age.

The side looks better with Nikorima in the halves. But there is no shame in being the Broncos fourth choice half.

Surely you'd give the bloke an "easy kill" to get some confidence back? Like taking a racehorse to a country meet or down in class for the easy kill to get them motoring again.

That's what I thought would happen. He showed some promising signs before his hammy injury and against tough opposition too.

In saying that, I'm gonna have to trust Bennett here and his experience with players. Hunt's strength was always his running game and he hasn't come close to it since 2015. His ability to close out games has and will always be questioned. In tight losses early this year that was still evident. So even if in the meantime he's a better option than Nikorima, there's no point sticking with Hunt for consistency if he's just gonna sh*t the bed come finals time. Nikorima at least has potential to grow.
