That was CHN's Ben Creagh moment. Slapped Tapine then shat himself and ran away when Tapine stood up for himself. What a cat.

The thing is that Tapine has no idea if the guy is going to go on with it or not. Who the heck just stands there and gets punched in the face ????

It is a nonsensical rule and should be down to refs discretion

But he didn't get punched in the face.

But he didn't get punched in the face.

He got struck in the face and the back and forth of a game he has no idea of what happened just that the bloke struck him.

Mate you are defending the indefensible here. No human should stand there and just be wacked in the face

Have you watched the speed this game is at? Both teams are going all out.

That leads to more errors and missed tackles. Stats might not look pretty. But its more exciting to watch... unless youre a fan of either team. Tgen it kills you seeing this.

And Penrith recieve the ball in the 2nd half.Being the second half side that we are,we should get it together.I think Moylan should get closer to the ruck, when near Canberra's line, before loading his passes off to Yeo. And having another player on his inside wouldn't hurt either.

Both sides doing a great job defensively, although one would think Canberra are fortunate to be only down by 2 points.

Rules are pretty straight firward though. Slaps now merkin as punches and throw one youre binned.

No exceptions. If they see it youre gone. Everyone knows that.

Yes I am not contesting that these are the facts only that the rule is stupid. I have been pretty consistent about this too. I argued the same point in the unpopular opinion thread just a couple of weeks ago.

It is defying common sense to expect a guy to stand there when he really has no idea of what is happening when he is being hit. It is unfair.

Compared to the first half of Origin it's terrible. Obviously the standard is a big higher but these lads are still getting paid to tackle

I've said multiple times he doesn't have to just stand there.

If it was a Canberra player who slapped first, and a Panthers player punched him in retaliation, your opinion would be the complete opposite of what it is now.

No it wouldnt

From a coupe of weeks ago unrelated to the raiders

Punching has in hindsight turned out to be a good thing and should be brought back. It wasn't like there was all in brawls every game and allowing punching kept the grubby players at least honest. I remember in week 1 last year dwz did everything in his power to get papalii to throw a punch. He slapped papa and grabbed his dick and papalii responded with a half hearted punch and luckily for us the ref had some sympathy (it was hot and all the players were being a bit dirty) because he could have easily been sin binned for responding.
