If it was a Canberra player who slapped first, and a Panthers player punched him in retaliation, your opinion would be the complete opposite of what it is now.

In Pete's defence, it wouldn't.
Pete has been pretty solid on this, go back a couple years when Wighton punched Feki and Feki didn't strike back but still got binned. He was against that at the time too while Skeepe on the other hand was seeing phantom punches thrown in retaliation.
