We are giving the Tigers no respect at all, and it's showing up on the scoreboard.

We look slick in our set plays, and have shown hints of class, but so much dropped ball combined with the tigers simply wanting to get to those 50:50 balls far more than us has negated all that.

If we don't change our attitude tigers will come over the top of us in the final 15 of the second half
It's the Roosters way.

Robbo probably said "respect the ball and respect the opponent" 50 times this week.

But it was never going to make a difference. We were always going to throw it about and try and score off every set.

Mate most of the time it doesn't matter as you beat us by 30. However the roosters get no penalties all year yet remarkably against the tigers the pea gets blown out of the whistle against us every time. It's like the NRL look to make up for all the non calls for you against us every year.

It's pretty well known teams with next to no chance of winning are referee'd accordingly, just ask the Knights

I didn't think you can be put back onside if you are in front of the play the ball

If you retreat back you can. Literally in the dragons try last week the video ref said 'jack de Belin is in front of the play the ball and doesn't retreat to make himself back onside'

3 penalties is harsly "pea blown outta the whistle". Especially when one was for an opponent being offside in possession.

But yes, for some random reason the Tigers are the only club, and I mean only club, that we seem to consistently win penalty counts against.

No

If you retreat back the 10 you're onside. The video ref said that exact thing in a dragons no try against the tigers last week.

You are mixing things up with the offside from a kick rule. From a kick, you can indeed retreat back behind the point where the ball was kicked and play yourself onside.

If you are in front of the play the ball though, you cannot be put back onside by any means until the next play. You are effectively an inactive player until the ball is played again.

Maybe he didn't get back far enough then? Wasn't paying much attention tbh

Our play wasn't from a kick though.

It's funny that people consider the pea to be blown out of the whistle when roosters get 3 penalties in a half. Not having a dig at your comment just amusing that this is the perception.
We need to show tigers more respect. Playing arrogant. As though it will just happen. Killing me.

The ref today said that he did not get back behind the play the ball at any stage. In that interpretation to me, if he ran back past the mark (in the refs opinion) then the player can then go forward and get involved in the play.

Not necessarily saying today, I mean against the roosters in general

Well that's inconsistent, but thanks for explaining it
