Thats exactly what this signing is like.

Overpaid for an average at best player. Take out the Panthers backline and Panthers could never get into opposition territory. Tim Browne and James Tamou are the softest starting front row you'll ever see.

Taumololo will make more metres than Browne, Tamou and Leota combined.

Apparently they got dispensation to bring Kyle Laybutt into the team fro outside the original team list.
