Mate, I think Barrett's hands are tied on the squad.
Lane is still injured. He did not play last week because of injury and that's the only reason he won't play this week.
Given Stewart and Matai still count on our cap I assume they also have to be in our top 25 squad.
That's why he keeps naming the two Wright's in the extended squad (I assume) - we have no other options!
So there are 21 named in the squad, then add to that the 4 props out, I doubt he can really go to the well for any others. If I had to guess, I'd say they are waiting on the useless f*cking turds in at the NRL to make a bloody final decision on Stewart and Matai before any decisions can be made on second tier players or otherwise.
Amazing how quickly those decisions got rushed through for Parramatta last season with Twatmough, but have dragged on for months with us.......
