Going down to watch this. Panthers fans what's the best place to get a feed at the Leagues club? I saw they've got a bunch of restaurants there.

Here you go mozza.

If we play to out usual game plan by wearing out the opposition in the 1st half, then getting away in the 2nd,Panthers by 26-12.

If we cut loose in the first half in the scoring,as well as piling points on in the 2nd half, 54-18.

On paper this is a real coin flip.

Ultimately I think Penrith's home ground advantage gets them home.

You think Newcastle has as good a roster as the Panthers?

No offence to Newcastle, but on paper, they would be lucky to make the 8 in NSW Cup..

So far with the attack it's been bad in Week 1, very good in week 2, uninspiring last week (even allowing for how well the Roosters defended) so with that pattern it will click against the Knights..

What are the chances this post will be getting rubbed in our faces by Knights fans about 8pm Friday night?

Like 5% maybe? If we're lucky and Moylan cops a headknock?

I think it'll be a little tougher than many of your fans think it will be... but there's no certainty there. A blowout wouldn't shock me.

That's what most people thought before we played The Dragons in Round 1 and we know how that ended.

12 years ago Newcastle ventured to the Riff on the back of 13 straight losses, the last of them being 50-0 at home. Penrith weren't much better, 5 wins from 14 after having been one of the favourites early on. The Knights took home the bikkies that night after trailing pretty much throughout. There's one big difference to tonight's game though. Newcastle in 2005 had Andrew Johns. It was his first game back after breaking his jaw. He'd been out almost all of 2004 after doing an ACL as well.

The Knights would win 8 of the last 11 but still got the spoon. The Panthers would win 6 from the last 9 to miss the finals by one game.
