2018 Crowd Watch

Pretty poor crowd for the broncos and I'm not quite sure why. Down on last year despite being in form and being a local derby.

Hoping today's game will top 35K, would be a good way to finish the week.

Broncos
Rd 3- won in controversial circumstances in golden point without scoring a try
Rd 2- won by 4 points against a team who is 1 win 3 losses
Rd 1- comprehensively beaten

Titans
Rd 3- had 50 put on them
Rd 2- loss
Rd 1- last minute win after being 18-0 down against a team subsequently 0-4

“In form”??

Agree with the sub standard crowd. Wonder if the marketing people promoted this game to visitors for the Commonwealth Games? Now that would have been proactive marketing! And ofcourse wondering what the ticket prices were!?

I never mentioned the Titans form. For the broncos 30K is a pretty middling crowd against any opposition.

In form probably wasn't the right word but they won 2 from their first 3 so you can't really blame form for the bad crowd.

That excuse is such a copout. Seriously if a team isn't in the top 4 and currently on a win streak you'll have people using that as an excuse for crowds.

Edit: How many people actually predicted a 30K crowd for that game?

I thought it would be 40000! Local Darby and long weekend. Holiday on Monday . Good weather as well. My gut feel is our marketing and exhorbitant ticket prices are the cause for this. That's a theme I'm getting on the NRL marketing people.

AKL double header now looks to be a shame. No one could have predicted Warriors 4-0. But now that it’s happrned, you’d think Warriors would have approached 20k vs cowboys standalone. Therefore even if they can get 25-27k, it’s really only a 5-7kcrowd for tigers storm.

On the plus side, hopefully they get 27k, amazing atmosphere, and Warriors win...leading to a sellout vs Broncos the following week

Perhaps exchangeable transferable tickets might be an idea Tosser! ? Cheap shots should not be your style! Leave that to the plebs! And yes I'm aware I'm a pleb as the discourse on this website is an eye opener.
If you involve yourself in this thread as deeply as you seem to and don't know that members not turning is obvious you deserve to be ridiculed, clown.

As for a transferrable tickets, most club memberships are transferrable as far as I know, provided the recipient is not entitled to a level above in terms of ticket cost (i.e. a concession member can't give their seat to an adult).

A re-sale program isn't really worth it with the NRL's average crowd tbh, I can't see clubs implementing it until sell-outs are a norm. And we all know that's a long way off.

No. I dont mean resale at all. I mean give them to someone else to use! It's a waste and not a good look! I suggest you may be the clown on occasions too!? We all have failing sometimes and you are showing yours!

After the last two years crowds hopefully the nrl will stop wasting a Easter fixture on a manly home game! Also perfect time to drop the Thursday night ga e on an Easter weekend. 3 Friday games 2 Saturday games 2 Sunday games 1 Monday game for max crowd benefit

I’d go
Friday early game NZ v Manly
Friday afternoon Souths v Bulldogs
Friday night Brisbane v Titans
Saturday afternoon Roosters v Wests
Saturday evening Storm v Cowboys
Sunday afternoon St’s v Cronulla at allianz
Sunday early evening Newcastle v Raiders
Monday afternoon Eels v Panthers

That should start to push the 200k mark with decent advertising and ticket deals

I organised for my membership to be used as a one off for someone to go to Penriths last home game and the club allowed it.
