Looks super ordinary, maybe low - mid 20k

Although the second tier looks very healthy

Facepalm.

Let’s also play Manly vs Newcastle in Wollongong, Parra vs Penrith in Gosford and Broncos vs Titans in Townsville

We’re looking for big crowds, not suburban park crowds.
35km isn’t far to travel on a Sunday! Big it up, $25 tickets inc public transport, reciprocal membership admission, get special trains on, 30k target. Unless these two clubs really don’t have the rivallary alleged or the fans they claim?

Sydney is just soulless
possibly the most apathetic , lazy unmotivated sports fans on the planet only interested in watching sport in their living rooms
if at all

what else would they want to attend a game live

today they have
2 old rivals, one going outstandingly
plenty of seats available
cheap tickets
cheap food
glorious weather
pretty close venue to both sets of fans , well Balmains & Parramattas anyway

but
they stay away en masse

& we have clowns in here advocating MORE teams in the Sydney area
wow
just wow

Agree with the sub standard crowd. Wonder if the marketing people promoted this game to visitors for the Commonwealth Games? Now that would have been proactive marketing! And ofcourse wondering what the ticket prices were!?

It been raining on and off all weekend in Brisbane, would have kept people away. 6.30 on sunday evening is just an odd timeslot aswell.

The game just isn’t that popular and the fans aren’t that passionate in supporting their team. Once you accept that, the constant crowd disappointments become less surprising lol.

Ps for a Sydney nrl game it looks pretty good. 32k ish I’d say. in a proper club stadium it would be a brilliant atmosphere.

Keep the southern derby in the south where it belongs. Why would the sharks move a game when they own their ground? And the dragons have two options to hope them in areas closer to away support. Why don’t we just play Penrith vs eels at Allianz while we are at it.

For the game rugby league is, I still believe it is underachieving in this sports minded nation. It's a great product and a true test of a footballer. If a "training run" can attract consistently big crowds so can rugby league!

Because we want 30k plus crowds and to make these games something special and be getting big crowds to them, you can’t do that at shark park!
It’s 35kms not the far side of the moon!

There has never been anything wrong with the product, but the management?
That’s a different matter! Like it or not the game isn’t as popular in Sydney (or most other cities) as it could or should be, the facts are there for everyone to see in terms of tv audiences and crowds and memberships.

its not even close to 30K
doesn't look a patch on Fridays game which was just over 30

We will see Raiderdave! I tend to think it's more than Friday's game. If you notice the side areas are more full and the upper tier has more attendance as well.

its the most popular game in Sydney .... by a mile
other sports are as popular as toenail extraction with pliers in comparison

so its not RL
its sport in general in that apathetic city

You honestly think these games will get much more at Allianz? You’ll put so many fans offside. what do the clubs get out of it, besides giving up home ground advantage. The sharks own their home ground. How many sharks fans travelled to an elimination final on a Sunday?

They will if it’s attractive enough and feels like THE must do game of the year.
The alternative is to stay the small drawing sport that never reaches its potential. If we’re happy with a season 15k crowd avg attendance then fine, let’s just stay exactly as we are. Cronulla lost another $2.5 million in 2017, like most clubs things can’t just stay the same or we are going nowhere fast as a code.
