When Dave Smith was ceo he apparently instituted a crackdown on inflated attendances.dodgy crowd counting through that period? I don't have a lot of faith in reported crowd numbers for any code anymore.
I'm sure it's had nothing to do with newscorp cracking the shits over their diminished influence in running the game and their fear-mongering "Super League MkII" type headlines...What happened in 2009-2012 to boost crowds so positively? We had Monday nights, we had news ltd running the game, we had Gallop as CEO, we had low revenue yet our crowds hit an all time high avg and stayed there consistently over 16k for 4 years. Then 2013 we began the decline to the lows of the last two seasons. Why so good in 09-12 despite the handicaps and why the decline last few years despite what should be a much better time for the game?

I find it annoying enough that you couldn't select your seat (or bay) for finals, now you can't tell what category is where as the whole stadium is just "reserved seating" besides supporter bays
But Category 1 seats are still available for the full price? This is a sign it’s selling poorly, Time to sell any seats as cat four.
I would guess its so you cant see where the categories cut off, as it gets to the edge of category 1 people would be more inclined to purchase category 2 tickets which in some cases may only be a couple of metres different from the category 1. If you don't know where the cutoff is you are more likely to buy the Category 1 tickets. But Category 1 seats are still available for the full price?
Depends where they are located.I've got freebies many years ago in a radio comp, and ended up in the top corner.Nine just now at the end of the NRL sports segment were just flogging $20 tickets on Ticketek if you enter '100% footy' as the code.
$20 tickets?
What kind of mug would buy tickets early?

Despite everyone hating him I liked the Gallop years as crowds were strong from 2003 to 2009 and then after that it slowly started to go downwards and the fans on this forum dick weaving about getting a independent commission and now look whats happened. What happened in 2009-2012 to boost crowds so positively?
