Roosters/Storm/Cowboys should vie for The Shield, 'culture' should protect them from infighting

Eels are a work in progress to match those 3, the rest will be happy to just unseat one of the 4

. . . all if injuries have no effect . . . so who do we want to see get hurt

Sweet poor child, you think this is real don't you?

The NRL has turned into a fairytale factory

14 Souffs after 43? years?
15 Cowboys first,another fairytale
16 Sharks breaking the duck egg, one of the biggest fairytales ever
17 The big 3 win their possibly last game together

Let's add another 4 to this.. not being too serious, but.....

18 Parramatta finish top 4 & win their first Grand Final in 31 years, beating the Titans. The Titans have an unexpected run in September from 8th place, and a highlight of the post-game is an emotional Jarryd Hayne interview.
19 Parramatta beat the Raiders, becoming the first team since the 1992-3 Broncos to win back-to-back titles in a unified competition. Lobbying from fans begins to get the whole team knighthoods.
20 Warriors win, defeating the Storm in one of those old-school Warriors upset the Storm games. Yes.. 25th anniversary & all that. Shaun Johnson has his JT moment after the match, going one better "We might need a new home stadium, and another club in NZ now".
21 Titans win. EVERYONE ELSE HAS MAJOR INJURIES, yet they only beat the Broncos by 1 point. Wayne Bennett retires from everything.

Yep, sounds plausible :)

My 2018 predictions...
1) Cowboys premiers - with JT, Thumper and McLean in the team, Morgo and Taumilliondollarlolo continue their 2017 form, and Hess to develop into the code's premier second rower, this team will double its premiership tally.

2) Dragons for the spoon. McGregor will be sacked as coach mid season.

3) Knights will soar into the 8 before a mid season losing streak. They'll recover to finish just shy of the 8.

4) Broncos to finish 7th or 8th. Off-field controversies involving a club legend will destabilise them in a way they have not experienced previously.

5) NRL will finally put geographic expansion back on the agenda, offering Sydney clubs big $ and/or salary cap exemptions to relocate to Perth, NZ or SE Qld by 2020.

6) Qld to win Origin series 3-0.

I get your point about Storm and Broncos being powerhouse clubs but it still can happen. Canterbury and St George used to be powerhouse clubs too and look at them now. The whole salary cap thing was designed to give all clubs a fair chance. How can they do it when clubs when the "powerhouse clubs" pretty much have a mortgage on the top 8. I think it'd be great to see a top 8 not consist of the usuals just for a change, wouldn't you?
Unlimited TPA's render the cap useless.
