Cabra v Wenty is off. Wenty decided they didn't want to play due to playing Cabra, prob due to them meeting in round 2.

While I know for a fact that Wenty management called it off, they have been telling a few people that Cabra pulled out

Todays SMH has the story on Auburn - Mehajer defaulted on his sponsorship. The club president has been trying to pay the players out his own pocket.

The Bulldogs are taking 32 players to the Sunshine Coast for the NRL trial so I reckon there might be more Cabra players than Bulldogs in the Bulldogs ISP trial.

What Cabra players will be trialling? Any news on where Ryan Verlinden will be playing this year. Was Cabras big mid season signing for last year

Sorry mate I don't have all the names of the cabra blokes going to the bulldogs ISP trial.
Ryan Verlinden is not at cabra.

The Blacktown team to play Newtown in the ISP trial this week is:

1 Honeti Tuha, 2 Vai Toutai, 3 Jacob Loko, 4 John Folau, 5 Peter Schuster, 6 Veiru Mapesone, 7 Kamren Cryer, 8 Fred Junior Mauala, 9 Joey Lussick, 10 Tekina Vailea, 11 Tyler Cassel, 12 Cody Nelson, 13 Tom Amone.

bench: Denzil Tonise, Joey Tramontana, Josh Martin, Elia Faatui, Maliko Filino, Leva Li, Viliami Kaveinga, Sukamanu Raki, Jake Pickering, Dom Murphy.

Since none of Manly's 30 players are included in the side, if you deduct say 6 players that will start in ISP, the remaining 17 should form the RMC for round 1 in 7 weeks time.

No broadcast yet that I'm aware of. Doubt Fox will pick it up but stranger things have happened.

I think for the most part if the game isn't connected to its ISP counterpart in most cases the ISP game is at an NRL game and the club doesn't want to bear the cost of a three-match event.

Interesting moreso in other instances it appears as though Flegg is attached to an NRL game with no ISP game involved.

Finally got some info about RMC and Shield. There'll be a small 3-round pre-season comp for RMC which will be used to establish a top four who'll progress to the NSWRL/CRL challenge cup later in the year.

Shield will have 3 weeks of trials alongside that.

Those 3 weeks for both grades coincide with R1-3 of the ISP/Flegg comps.

The season proper kicks off the weekend after Easter (April 7 and 8) and runs for 20 rounds. There's a weekend break at the start of June but they keep playing the weekend of the Origin II game which most other comps take off.

Confirmation of clubs in each grade for 2018 as follows. Each grade has 11 clubs:

Playing at venues within 4h of the Sydney metro centre eg Parramatta/Homebush
