The SS was enjoyable. Obviously not as fast, physical or as tight as the Massey. Cabra played 4 players from their A grade whcih is effectively u23s so they were young around 19 and only a couple of games against men under their belt. but they did well, but better than I expected them to.

Cabra found their feet a bit more in the second half and made it a bit competitve. The team St Marys put out is not as good as their 2016 SS side but still decent. Cabra are still very much a work in progress

The Cabra/ St Marys game was pretty decent. Cabra without a recognised half played reasonably controlled for once and played very strong. St Mary's were not out of the game and in the last 10 mins Cabra surprisingly decided they were going to play catch up and the SM right wing showed wonderful speed to score a great solo try to bring the game within 6.
How did reed izzard go?

Matt is a real good kid.and he went well played about 45 minutes over 3 periods. He missed a few games at the start due to recovery from the injury. I think each week he is getting better.

He played SS

Yep good kid, big motor and tough. Penrith junior. When he reaches full fitness probably good enough for Massey

No RMC or SS this weekend (or Womens Prem for that matter). Just ISP and Flegg.

Plenty of rep footy for these guys and girls tho

INTERCHANGE
14 - Blake Cook (Wentworthville)
15 - Jason Thompson (Cabramatta)
16 - Dylan McKeown (Guildford)
17 - Inno Inosesio (Wests)

18th Man to be named tomorrow

Captain to be decided by coaching staff tomorrow
Team to travel tomorrow to Maitland, then train before preparing for match on Friday Night.

Coach: Brett Cook (Wentworthville)
Assistant Coach: Nathan Waters (Wentworthville)

Speaking to me tonight, Coach Cook tells me that this is the best available side picked given injuries, callups to ISP and even the fact the match is being played on a Friday Night stopping others from making themselves available due to work commitments.

Team have only had 1 training session this week since being picked - another one scheduled for tomorrow

It is odd that it is a Friday Night given the whole competition was given a weekend off for this match.

A NSW Rep team will be picked from this match to play Qld Rangers at Pizzey Park, Sunshine Coast on June 17.

Many thanks for putting the side up guys at short notice.
Decision on Captain will be down to either Robinson or B.Waters.
