Locky and JT are two of the worst defensive halves I've ever seen at rep level and yet I didn't see Qld leaving them out on that account.

You pick your best players. End of. And Latrell is NSW best left centre by a mile and Jimmy is the best right centre.

Totally agree. They talk of them like they are complete turnstiles. How many tries have the incumbent NSW centres let in? I think it's great to finally have a team we can all get behind instead of complaining about selections.

Having people who want NSW to win and being "Queensland" are two different things
Of course there are people who want NSW to win, but we in NSW don't define ourselves as being New South Welshmen. It doesn't permeate all other aspects of our lives. You don't see thousands of people throughout the year wearing light blue NSW stuff.

Queenslanders are Queenslanders first, second, third and fourth. They're Australians about fifth and then whatever town they're on

Down here, we are Eastern suburbs or Northern Beaches or Shire folk or Westies (or name your town) first, then we're Sydney people second, then we're Australians and then we might as an after thought think about being from NSW, but generally not, unless Origin is on.

That's the difference - that's why it means more to them. They measure their lives by it
