Pearce is a good player who would have been elevated above and beyond because that's what the GoaT did time and again.

Pearce has spent his entire Origin career with premiership and/or Origin winning halves partners who couldn't win with him. Without him we won 50% of our series. With Hodkinson and Reybolds ffs.

Joey had some dud halves partners. But he never got stuck with Pearce.

The out of form forwards are all in the Queensland pack - Cooper and Hess, McGuire hasn't played...

But the Queensland backline is pretty great, huge advantage aside from the halves - Cotric surely offers more than a fullback and a speedster in Origin? TomT should be at fullback or not there imo (Tedesco warrants selection for now), real shame Mansour is hurt too

Roberts selection is a massive plus for the maroons. Jet is super fast but he is sub par defensively. He'll probably score 1 with his freakish speed but then let in 2 or 3 with misreads and Inglis power...

Yes the youth NSW have bought in are top line players but we should know by now talent isn’t the main factor at origin level
