Souths were excellent last start against the Storm but in doing so they have shown them their hand. Bellamy will fix the ruck up and get the game played at the pace he likes With the rested players coming back, I can't see how Souths will win this against a team that will want to do it for their home fans and for Slater.

Think some people are over stating souths a bit here. Yeah they won last game but it was against a team who were missing key players and gave up. They had 78% of the ball from the 33rd minute mark. They won’t get near that here.

Before that they’d lost their past 3.

you make it sound like souths have got nothing to play for and are going into this match like wests and parra went into rd 25

Why is this on a Friday when there are massive AFL games on these days..

Why not put this on a Saturday or Sunday?

Hope Souths win though

AFL game in a venue the NRL doesnt play is moot. the only game NRL have to consider is Wallabies because they play at Lang Park this weekend.

More importantly, NRL need to think about what days teams played in rd 25 and also, schedule arrangement for week 2. With this in mind, Friday night has to be a qualifying final because the loser has to get equal day or longer break than elim final winner.

Souths played last Thursday and Storm last Friday.

In contrast, Easts played last Saturday and Cronulla last Sunday.

so with all the above considered, Melb vs Souths is only option for Friday night.

You can watch the AFL if you need to. On the other side of the coin, are AFL fans complaining about their schedule clashing with NRL matches?

I guess you're not used to having injuries because this is nothing other sides haven't had to deal with all season. Some of your young fellows looked pretty promising I thought.
Yet we ended with only two comp points behind the top 4.

To match their pack it would be reaaaal nice to have NAS back.
Very much a 50/50 game IMO. Will tip us 22-20

Both teams have a lot to play for. I just think Melbourne will get it done at home. Souths don't have a good record in Melbourne.

Storm need to win this game because they are busted, they remind me of the 2016 Cowboys team.. And this will be a bash-a-thon and I think Souths can bash them all the way to Suncorp Stadium.

I wish that’s how it worked, but the loser gets a home semi.

The money has come for the Bunnies. Massive amount on for the win. Bunnies in from 2.15 to 2.00 and shortening quickly.
We have never won down there in 17 attempts.

Slater Munster Croft B.Smith and Vunivalu are back...

Of course you guys start favourites.

Brandon Smith is a bench utility, but apart from that they are all backs. So its the same forward pack who were well outplayed last week by a forward pack well below the Rabbitohs in recent form. Souths should play it up the teeth with the occasional Cook scurry. This is how they win this.

They will hold us down heaps.... Cook has the passing game though and will have to pick his moments.
