Refs cant have the broncos losing a game ever.

I guess it shows the incongruency of the HIA rule. Sure, we want to protect players from concussion. But we don't want them going blind either. Funny that one type of injury gets more consideration than another.

I think it stems from the reluctance of players with head injuries to leave the field, also potential consequences are far worse than most other injuries

I agree, but an eye injury could be bad. A broken bone is potentially lethal, but gets no "free interchange". Maybe we should reduce interchanges and just allow some injury swaps.
