Well done Tigers. Please make sure you put some salt on the Panthers' chafed anus when you pull your cock out.

Karma keeps giving. Daddy jaw and baby jaw deserve the spoon for what they did to the Tigers last year and there is a real chance it might happen.

Forget the second half.
Just first half alone, every red blooded WT supporting man should let his wife have a night off from her marital duties.
That first half was better than an average root.
Ivan, the volume of shit karma keeps on unloading upon you should tell you exactly what sort of merkin you were.
The way you left us was a real merkin act, but I saw how much you wanted to be involved in the stellar rise of your boy . . . so in the end, it is what it is.
You walked out on us after the whole "on the bus" spiel to be involved with a stronger club with a commanding roster. You wanted to play finals footy with a team that had destiny in front of them. I see that now.
Thanks. How's all that workin out for ya ?
Oh, and EAD.

We are probably a top 6-8 team at best if we can consistently play like we did in the first half, the problem is We will back up last night's performance with a 30 point flogging next week and it's back to square one again

Oh and if there's one thing to credit Cleary for its that he got us our best signing since Ellis (Matterson). Maybe he ain't so bad after all

Didn't he also sign, give or take, Reynolds for 800k, Mbye for 900k, Packer for 700k and Matulino for about 500k?

All up that's the worst recruiting in history.

*sigh* yep..

We've had better value out of Marshall, Farah, Twal and Thompson who's combined salary probably wouldn't even reach Mbyes pay packet

You couldn't even make a case for any of those "marquee players" to be worth half those numbers atm

How many millions of dollars and years have been given combined to Cleary sr and Cleary jr? Sure things can turn around. But are they the centerpiece to build a premiership team around? With all the much hyped junior panther talent that is supposed to make this team a perennial contender?

Every day it looks more and more like Panthers management was insane to overrule Gus.

I think all those figures are right except Mbye, anyways the Dogs are paying about 1/3rd of it for this year and next. In retrospect most if not all look like bad calls but in Ivans defence when he came here we were the least desirable club in the game to players, we couldnt even keep the ones who were playing for us!

He bought players who were known to be tough, uncompromising competitors on and off the field as the main thing needing to be changed at the club was the accountability and soft underbelly. A guy like Josh Reynolds was bought just as much for what he do off the field as on it.

Lol there were actually a large percentage of Eels fans who were literally enraged that we didn't match or beat the Tigers money and sign Packer and/or Matulino last season. They used it as evidence that BA and Bernie Gurr needed to be immediately sacked because they couldn't attract the right players.

Some of them even suggested 600k odd for Packer would be a better deal than 650-700k for Paulo...

Matulinos been pretty good. He isnt the monster that he was 5 years ago but hes an excellent defender, does his hit ups and makes very few errors.

Packers first 6 weeks last year were phenonomal, then he injured his knee and has been generally terrible since then. What he does is ok, its just that he seems to do everything possible to not take a hit up.
