Fully agree.with all the off season crap, clubs marketers should be pulling out all stops to get hesitant fans to the game

It would be any extra money to invite cameras along to a hospital visit or something. It is a simple way to show the good that every club does.

Friday night roosters at the SCG is a joke. Souths fans are usually families and you have a snowballs of getting them in the city on a Friday night

More NRL derpppppp

Might be attending Knights v Sharks. Weather is a factor . I have a six game membership and this gives me general entry to any of 6 home games of my choice throughout the season. So will time my visits to the stadium when it suits .Mostly Saturday games are my preference. And the Knights have a fair few Saturday games. So looking forward to it.

So you have Sunday to recover for work as was always the games intention during its semi pro days. Very good.

Friday night sydney season opener.

TBH that is a great slot, the only problem is the stadium isn't and hasnt been right for rugby league for a long long time.

Also one day the roosters winning a premiership might see a few of the locals go out and support their side.

Storm v Broncos 22,000
Knights Sharks 20,000
Roosters Rabbits. 25,000
Warriors Bulldogs. 18,000
Wests Manly. 17,000
Cowboys Dragons 18,000
Panthers Eels. 19,000
Titans Raiders 14,000

honestly, as reigning premiers and with souths fans probably probably being half the crowd if the roosters pushed and promoted this game they could hit 30k.

Storm and broncos would be bigger if not on a thursday night.

The interesting one for me is tigers manly, you wont get any manly fans but it will be interesting as to how many tigers fans show up.

Would be nice to see panthers and eels go over 20k.

Also I dont know why they are having all their burning three big rivarly games in round one.
panthers eels
souths chooks
storm broncos

IMO the nrl should aim to have one rivalry at least each week in sydney that it promotes as the game of the week and thats it, as opposed to having some rounds with a few rivalries and some with none.

Think they are trying to maximise crowds for Rd 1 via rivalry games, to give the season a starting boost.
Just a pity Parra Stadium isn't ready for Rd1.

Has the SCG ever has a decent crowd for a match in recent years? Predictions of 20,000 seem very optimistic.

I’m going to the scg. Hopefully a big member turnout because it will show on broadcast as it’s aimed at the noble stand. I think they can get 25,000 there it is on a Friday night.
