I know it shouldn’t matter but it does
impact crowd figures
Sharks had 20 mins before kick off
Moylan
Johnson
Feki
Woods
Graham
Dugan
All out injured and playing the storm in the rain.
Nobody knew Dugan was going to play.

Any club facing that would have a smaller crowd.
Not to mention storm bring virtually zero people to the game.
I was fully expecting to watch the sharks get destroyed.

Just wish more people were there to see the Sharks pump Cameron Smith.

I imagine if you had a small 20k Bankwest stadium the crowd would have been double.

Btw i am only joking about relocation, that mantle will always be Manly's. :D

People stop going to NRL games when their team is not winning because it is all about winning. The game stopped caring much about how entertaining it was as a sport a long time ago (when Bellamy took over the game).

Can’t think of any professional sport that isn’t about winning, does entertaining mean more points, less penalties, quicker play the balls?

Not sure if pre 2000 if it was quicker or more entertaining, we seemed to of had some much better ball players, but maybe that was down to poorer defensive tactics.

I don’t let the grapple bother me, whether it is instilled in our game for good now, or if we find a way to combat it, we will see, but I watch the game as much now as I did before, regardless of how it is officiated.

We really should be doing a lot more of this in the bush.

I know clubs have contracts with stadia, and internal factors, etc, but they should all be encouraged to go to the bush more often.
