The only place overseas that makes sense is NZ but even then it would be tough for prime time TV out here.
I think state and local councils chipping in 5mill might get it to places like Melbourne, Perth, Parramatta, Newcastle and maybe Canberra when they have a decent stadium.
NZ would work but I wonder if 2 cities could hold it instead of one.
And 9 would have to suck it up amd make games NZ time friendly. Therefore it’s not going to work in NZ during this tv deal

Yes I just asked Siri what time it is in Auckland right now and it is 8.15 so provided those butt holes at nine agree to a 7.00pm kick off for the friday night game it could work.
Auckland time friday night double header 700pm then 900pm

Suncorp members clearly not interested in tonight haha. But it’s not terrible, probably 16-18k.

Imagine the crowd for this in Cronulla tonight...

Im interested how the NRL will release the crowd figures, each game, each day or just a total attendance

Crowd predictions:
Thursday: 13k
Friday: 51k
Saturday: 50k
Sunday: 45k
Friday and Saturday are no chance of 50k plus.

Restricted views have not been placed on sale yet and also the capacity has been reduced due to two lower corners being used for entertainment areas. Maybe 1500-2000 seats.

Anyone there tonight? hows it look and is it mostly neutrals?, doesn't look too bad on tv, weird look for Suncorp but considering the teams and timeslot its decent looking

Will probably get morons complaining about the crowd and using it to bag magic rd, but it’s more than what it would have attracted at eithers home ground.

That’s a great crowd IMO and bodes well for the weekend. Easily more than either team would have got at home even in a perfect time slot and will end up one of the highest Thursday crowds this year.

You buy a day pass, so I imagine they'll just count the amount of people through the gates for the whole day and apply it to each game - double headers at Suncorp are counted this way.

Your theory would mean that come Saturday with three games, if 50,000 attend for the day then each game is said to have drew that many. Which would be incorrect.

What will happen is that at the end of the round they will add up the crowd figures for each day and have a total for the weekend. Averages for each game are really not relevant in rounds like this.
